Candidates typically start on a work permit to launch and operate their venture and, after meeting their Business Performance Agreement, may be nominated for permanent residence.

Eligibility & Investment Requirements
- Net worth: minimum CAD 500,000 verified by a province-approved third-party accounting firm
- Investment: minimum CAD 150,000 in an eligible NB business
- Ownership: at least 33.3% (or CAD 1,000,000 investment for a smaller share)
- Experience: ≥ 3 years business ownership or ≥ 5 years senior management in the last 10 years
- Age: 21–59; Education: high-school diploma or higher
- Language: CLB/NCLC 5 (English or French)
- Residency & management: live in NB and actively manage the business
- Exploratory visit: required before submitting an EOI

How to Apply — NBPNP Business Immigration
- Complete an exploratory visit to New Brunswick.
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with your business concept.
- Upon selection, file a full application and third-party net-worth verification.
- Attend an interview if invited.
- Sign the Business Performance Agreement and obtain a work-permit support letter.
- Apply to IRCC for a work permit and establish the business in NB.
- After meeting all terms (investment, jobs, operations), apply for nomination and then permanent residence.
